Second General Meeting
September 8, 2008

Call to Order
Officers present: Student Body President Grier Ferguson, Vice President Preston Harcup, Student Body Secretary Claire Stottlemyer, Student Body Treasurer Rebecca Phaff, Parlimentarian Kylie Gardner, Communications Official Sarah Singer, and Membership Development Official Kate Schlabaugh.
Advisor present: Mr. Baeszler
Administrator present: Mr. Jones
I. Minutes approved
II. Treasure's report – Agenda's paid for and some prom fees (-$1260)
Current Balance: $ 41,687.94
III. Point System – 20 points required for year
Can be earned by participating in events/activities throughout the year
IV. Resolution Format – how to propose new ideas/events
V. Upcoming elections
Deadlines extended to Friday for officer forms
Names will be announced at 9/22 meeting and speeches will be given
Speaker of the house forms will be available then
Spending limit for campaigns will be $50.00
VI. Fair campaigning – keep it positive, clean. No negative campaigning for opponents
VII. SDMT Junior Representative chosen – Jake R.
VIII. We will have a RHS/SHS suggestion box
IX. Senior gift ideas will be submitted
Student government and senior tee shirts – Mike W.

X. Dues -- $10.00 mandatory
XI. Snack sign up sheet – Kate
XII. Mr. Cale and Ms. Spinelli discuss new plans for attendance. Want to create incentives for students with exemplary attendance records. Will reward students who are here and on time.
